Utilization of Cheese Whey for Production of Azurin by Pseudomonas aeruginosa
نویسندگان
چکیده
Azurin which has attracted much attention as potential anticancer agent in recent years is a bacterial secondary metabolite. This copper-containing redox protein secreted by Pseudomonas aeruginosa capability of preferentially entering into many human cancer cells and inducing apoptosis. In this study, whey the considerable by-product casein or cheese manufacture was used azurin production medium P. aeruginosa. Also, effects copper (II) sulphate (CuSO4) potassium nitrate (KNO3) on were determined. At end studies, optimum expression level reached during incubation 18 hours. The best CuSO4 concentration 2.5 mg/L while KNO3 45 according to Western blot analysis. process can be obtain high levels using medium. for reduce processing industrial waste management problems.

Improved Production of Rhamnolipids by a Pseudomonas aeruginosa Mutant
A Pseudomonas aeruginosa mutant derived by random mutagenesis with N-methyl-N¢-nitro-N-nitrosoguanidine, producing high levels of the rhamnolipid biosurfactants was selected on Siegmund-Wagner (SW) plates. The mutant designated P. aeruginosa PTCC1637 produces rhamnolipids at concentrations 10 time more than parent strain. NMR analysis and surface tension measurement showed that the biosurfactan...
